Chester State Park

Chester State Park made history as the first South Carolina State Park to feature disc golf, and it’s remained a must-play destination for players across the Southeast ever since. Two scenic 18-hole courses wind through towering pine forest and around the 160-acre lake, offering a fun challenge for players of every skill level.
When your round is over, stick around: hike the trails, pack a picnic by the lake, rent a kayak, or cast a line before heading home.
Merrill Gray Farm

For a true destination course, head to Merrill Gray Farm. This reservation-only layout mixes wooded and open fairways with rolling elevation changes, water hazards, and countryside views that make every hole feel different from the last.
The course is still evolving, so layouts can range from roughly 5,700 to 7,000 feet depending on when you visit. Daily play is $5 per person, payable at Hole 1, and the on-site pro shop is available by reservation. Tee times can be booked online.
Winthrop Recreational Complex

Set around scenic Winthrop Lake, this recreation complex is one of disc golf’s most iconic venues, having hosted both the United States Disc Golf Championship and the World Disc Golf Championships. Its challenging 18-hole course has tested many of the world’s best players, and it remains a bucket-list stop for enthusiasts visiting the Carolinas.
Beyond the course, the complex offers athletic facilities, walking trails, and protected wetlands, plenty to fill out a full day of outdoor recreation.
Springdale Disc Golf Course

Lookout Park

Don’t let its size fool you, Lookout Park packs plenty of fun into a compact layout. This short- to mid-length course winds through a neighborhood park, with several holes crossing into a separate section of the property for an unexpectedly varied, beginner-friendly round.
SouthTown Wake Park

Best known for its cable wakeboarding system, SouthTown Wake Park also offers a nine-hole disc golf course designed by Innova. It’s the perfect way to squeeze in a quick round while you wait your turn on the water, or to add one more adventure to your visit.
