In our opinion, freshly picked produce stands in a league of its own compared to what you can find in the grocery store. From peaches to pumpkins, tomatoes to strawberries, each season introduces a unique flavor palette.
Cherry Place Farm, situated just minutes from downtown Rock Hill, consistently yields a variety of fresh produce throughout the seasons. In the spring, you can enjoy u-pick strawberries. The summer presents flower-picking opportunities, while October brings tours featuring a corn maze and pumpkin patch. After Thanksgiving, the farm transitions to Christmas trees and wreaths for the holiday season.
In York, Bush-N-Vine Farm invites guests to partake in strawberry, blueberry, peach, blackberry, wildflower, sunflower and pumpkin picking, depending on the time of year. The on-site Farm Cafe complements the experience with offerings like fresh donuts, ice cream, slushies, hotdogs and more. Open year-round, Black’s Peaches in York provides a diverse array of fresh produce, baked goods, daily specials, sandwiches and u-pick options, varying by the season.
Family-owned and operated Cotton Hills Farm in Lowrys celebrates the joy of growing fresh produce. U-pick strawberry season typically kicks off in April and extends into June, with subsequent opportunities for peaches, tomatoes, flowers, sweet corn, okra, squash and potatoes spanning June through late summer. Pumpkin picking runs from September through October, followed by collard picking in winter.
In Lancaster, Ivy Place Berry Farm aims to bring people together for the shared experience of picking produce, creating memories and relishing delicious foods. During the spring and summer months, the farm offers u-pick options for strawberries, flower bouquets, blueberries, blackberries, heirloom tomatoes, zucchini, squash and cucumbers.
Founded in 1916, McLeod Farm in Chesterfield County is renowned for its delicious peaches and various other produce. Starting in April, visitors can partake in u-pick strawberry sessions, filling their buckets with juicy berries. With more than 800 acres of peaches, 60 acres of strawberries, 10 acres of blackberries and more, McLeod Farms provides a comprehensive and delightful picking experience.
