The Olde English District is as rich with thriving arts culture as it is in history. Many places to see a show in South Carolina are even in historical venues, showcasing the region’s talent and commitment to the arts.

Empowering the Artistic Community

In Camden, the Arts Center of Kershaw County is known for hosting an array of performing arts events and serving as the county’s artistic hub. Offering an assortment of live performances, cultural exhibits and arts education programs, the Arts Center has been a fixture in South Carolina’s arts community for decades.

In downtown Rock Hill, the Center for the Arts serves as a beacon for the arts within the OED’s historic downtowns. Set within two renovated buildings that are more than 120 years old, the Center houses the offices of the Arts Council of York County, classroom galleries, private artist studios, multi-disciplinary spaces and a gallery with multiple exhibitions each year.
