Discover the stories of women whose courage, resilience and sacrifice helped shape the American Revolution during Remember the Ladies: Backcountry Edition at the Revolutionary War Visitor Center in Camden.

Presented by the Hobkirk Hill Chapter, NSDAR, and the Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson Chapter, NSDAR, the program explores the experiences of women in the South Carolina Backcountry through a series of featured presentations.

Guests will hear stories of women including Dicey Langston, Sarah McCalla and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson, along with presentations on women’s clothing during the Revolutionary era and the sacrifices carried by women on the home front.

The program is presented in partnership with Historic Camden Foundation and the Revolutionary War Visitor Center as part of Kershaw County 250’s commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary.
