Rocky Shoals Spider Lily Seed Collection Volunteer Event
Help support the restoration and long-term survival of the iconic rocky shoals spider lily by participating in a hands-on conservation effort along the Catawba River!
Join us at Landsford Canal State Park as we work to establish a new and thriving population of rocky shoals spider lilies in the Great Falls Long Bypass Reach section of the Catawba River.
Volunteers will assist in collecting seeds from existing spider lily populations, which will later be used to propagate new plants and strengthen this rare and beautiful species in the region. This effort plays an important role in preserving both biodiversity and the natural heritage of the river corridor.
Come ready for outdoor fieldwork along the river and a meaningful day of conservation in action!
