By the Sweat of Our Brows at Historic Brattonsville

Join descendants and community members at By the Sweat of Our Brows as they honor the lives, stories, and legacies of the enslaved and freed people who lived and worked at the Bratton plantation.

 This year’s program focuses on recreation and resistance among free and enslaved individuals during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Culture & Heritage Museums members receive free admission, along with year-round benefits including free general admission to all museum sites and gift shop discounts.

Please note: Brattonsville Road will be closed from 9:30 AM–4:30 PM for visitor safety. Please allow extra travel time and follow the posted detour.
