Every fall, Carowinds transforms from a family theme park into something much darker, creepier and thrilling: SCarowinds. As one of the Southeast’s premier Halloween attractions, SCarowinds is back for 2025 with new scares, old favorites and plenty of frightening fun.
A Haunted Tradition
Running on select nights from Sept. 12 through Nov. 2, 2025, SCarowinds invites guests to explore terrifying haunted mazes, brave scare zones crawling with monsters and enjoy late-night rides on the park’s world-class roller coasters. The event has become a seasonal tradition, drawing visitors from across the Carolinas and beyond.
Haunted Mazes and Scare Zones
Each year, SCarowinds introduces new storylines and haunted experiences to keep thrill-seekers coming back. Walk through elaborately themed mazes where creatures lurk in every corner, or try to escape scare zones patrolled by costumed actors ready to make you jump. From eerie graveyards to twisted carnivals, the frights are everywhere.
Night Rides and Entertainment
SCarowinds isn’t just about the scares. Guests can ride some of Carowinds’ biggest coasters under the cover of night, adding an extra adrenaline rush to the evening. Live shows, roaming performers and spooky snacks round out the experience.
