Every week in July join costumed interpreters and explore aspects of 18th and 19th century life for the Bratton family and others in the Carolina Piedmont. Each week has a different theme. This site features over thirty colonial and antebellum structures, including two house museums. The plantation spreads over 800-acres and includes farmed land with heritage breed animals, a Revolutionary War battlefield site with interpretive trail, and a nature preserve with miles of walking trails. Seasonal events, reenactments, and living history programs interpret life in the Carolina Backcountry from the 1750s to the 1850s. Award-winning African American programs are an essential part of telling the story of the Carolina Piedmont. Also a site on the SC Ag + Art Tour. Open Tues–Sat: 10 am–5 pm and Sun: 1–5 pm, except New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is charged. Limited handicap accessibility. I-77, exit 82-B.
