Join us as we honor the rich legacy of the Bratton family's enslaved African-Americans and their descendants known today as the "Seven Sacred Families." Hear stories from the past and explore Brattonsville Plantation. Food concessions will be available for purchase. ADMISSIONS: Adults, $8; Seniors, (60+) $7; Youth ages 4-17, $5; kids age 3 years and younger, free admission, admission for CHM members is free.

This site features over thirty colonial and antebellum structures, including two house museums. The plantation spreads over 800-acres and includes farmed land with heritage breed animals, a Revolutionary War battlefield site with interpretive trail, and a nature preserve with miles of walking trails. Seasonal events, reenactments, and living history programs interpret life in the Carolina Backcountry from the 1750s to the 1850s. Award-winning African American programs are an essential part of telling the story of the Carolina Piedmont. Open Tues–Sat: 10 am–5 pm and Sun: 1–5 pm, except New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is charged. Limited handicap accessibility. I-77, exit 82-B.
