Carolina Piedmont Seminar Series: Native Gardening with Shrubs & Trees

Meet some of the southeastern native shrubs and trees that will bring your yard beauty, assist with erosion and benefit wildlife. Find out the time of year to prune, plant and move these woody plants. Bonus: learn which exotic and extremely invasive shrubs and trees to avoid. This seminar series will be taught by Dr. Robert Carter - a forest ecologist with 20 years of experience as a professor researching native forested ecosystems.  He is a Rock Hill native with degrees from Clemson University, Auburn University, and North Carolina State University. 

Pre-registration and payment for all three sessions is required by February 3, 2020. • Cost: $30 CHM Members, Volunteers, Teachers/Students with ID | $40 Non-CHM Members; covers all three seminars, class notes, and book, "Bringing Nature Home" by Douglas W. Tallamy and one free soil test.
