Celebrate and explore the Patriot victory over the British during this Revolutionary War battle. Military camp life activities, music, crafts, and children’s activities bring to life the American Revolutionary in the Carolina Piedmont. Battle reenactments are at 2pm each day. A special tribute to the late Michael C. Scoggins, Culture & Heritage Museums’ chief historian who passed away earlier this year, will be held on Saturday at noon during the annual wreath laying ceremony. This site features over thirty colonial and antebellum structures, including two house museums. The plantation spreads over 800-acres and includes farmed land with heritage breed animals, a Revolutionary War battlefield site with interpretive trail, and a nature preserve with miles of walking trails. Seasonal events, reenactments, and living history programs interpret life in the Carolina Backcountry from the 1750s to the 1850s. Award-winning African American programs are an essential part of telling the story of the Carolina Piedmont. Also a site on the SC Ag + Art Tour. Open Tues–Sat: 10 am–5 pm and Sun: 1–5 pm, except New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is charged. Limited handicap accessibility. I-77, exit 82-B.
