USA FOOTBALL REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CAMP WILL COME TO ROCK HILL, SC

ROCK HILL, SC – The Rock Hill/York County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) along with Rock Hill Schools will welcome the USA Football Regional Development Camp to South Pointe High School on April 12 – 13, 2014.

The USA Football Regional Development Camp is a program for athletes in grades 7-11 that focuses on the athletes’ development on and off the field. Participating athletes will have the opportunity to train with current NFL and NCAA coaches, listen and learn from former NFL players and receive an evaluation from an NFL or college scout.

All athletes will be evaluated for the U.S. National Team program. Athletes selected to participate in the USA National Team program will represent Team USA in the international competition.

“It’s going to be great having USA Football in town,” says Auvis Cole, sports sales manager with the Rock Hill/York County CVB. “The program will continue to show our very rich football tradition.”

The USA Football Regional Development Camp began in 2012 and was hosted in four locations including the Carolina Panthers practice complex. The program grew this year to include 10 host locations. In 2014, the camp will be hosted in 16 locations.

USA Football officials expect to have nearly 300 people in attendance for the camp. Athletes can register online at www.usafootball.com. Spectators are welcome to attend the event for free.
