Online Adventure - Part 3 Chester County

Now is a great time to plan ahead: grow (or start) a business, your diet to include more "See What You Eat" foods, or your next fishing trip.  You can find all these things and so much more in Chester County, and now is a great time to check it out online!

Start with growing or starting your business...

Chester County Chamber of Commerce has so many great resources for you! They have lots of educational events for you to network and learn, including the very popular Lunch & Learn series. They offer ammny tips and services so contact them for help. You can also chedule a free appoitment with the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) at the Chamber offi

The Chamber is currently hosting a super cool event for Chester County businesses: Stay Local, My Friends tag event. Businesses and customers can tag and brag about Chester County businesses. So if you have some that you'd love to show a little love for, go check it out here:  #StayLocalMyFriends. You can share on social media and on their website!

The Chamber has a great history of Chester County on their website, but take a look at the museums in Chester County to really get to know this region. From automobiles, mill town life, and a gun collection from every war in American history, to Aaron Burr, Confederate Gold, and a haunted jail- you'll learn all kinds of neat things at the museums in Chester County.

Maybe the outdoors is calling you...maybe a great day of fishing or hiking....check out Chester State Park!

The staff has been hard at work making lots of improvements and additions that's sure to make it your favorite state park! They have a big playground, plenty of well maintained trails,  disk colf course (yes, you can rent the disks!), a fishing bridge, and an awesome floating dock for relaxing. Of course they have boats and kayaks to take out in the lake or you can bring your own.

Maybe a day on the farm is more your outdoor calling. Well, you're in luck because Chester County has plenty of great farms! Check out the list her on the Chester County website and here for Chester County's AG+ART Facebook page

Cotton Hills Farms is a local favorite. You can buy foods all year round, they have some great Farm Days events, and some awesome videos on their website.


You can also buy their products and lots of other local farms' goods at Catawba Fresh Market.

Check them out! It's a collection of lots of local farm goods that you can pick out and pick up! There's never been an better way to support your local community! If you've been interested in the "Eat What You See" movement by eating what's grown locally, this is as easy as it gets! Other Chester farms like Fishing Creek Creamery, T & M Farms, Red Bug Ranch, and Watson Farms are there too!

And if horseback riding is more your thing, don't forget our friends at Gaston Farm Road Equestrian Center! They feature the lovable Palmetto Paso Finos, Tennessee Walkers, Quarters, and others, including South Carolina's state horse- the Marsh Tacky!. They have all things horses: boarding, lessons, transport, and even day camps! They are also home to Strides of Strength Therapeutic Riding, a 501(c)(3) that offers theraputic services for many community members.
