Hunt Down Your Own Trail…

There’s so much great wilderness to explore in South Carolina. There’s always great hunting or fishing to be had in the OED.

Let’s begin with a quick pit stop at SCDNR for:

Fishing licence and information

Hunting license and information.

And a wildlife teaser of great footage from South Carolina trail cam footage over at ShawnM’s YouTube channel. Click here for SC animals in the wild!

At the edge of York County and just across from Chester County, sits Draper Wildlife Management. This SCDNR area is groomed for small game hunting, but also used for hiking and biking as well as bird watching.

Check out the website to learn more: Draper Wildlife Management.

Woods Ferry Recreation Area is a big land area managed by the US Forest Service. There’s no hunting in this Union County track, but plenty of great fishing in the Broad River. Check out more here: Woods Ferry Recreation Area.

Moree’s Sportsman Paradise - Moree’s is truly a sportsman’s paradise! It’s incredible! They feature quail, duck, deer and wild pig hunting as well as some great stocked ponds for fishing. Moree’s also has skeet shooting on site.

Check out a video here from our friends at Carolina OutdoorsTV.

If skeet shooting is what you’re looking for, look no further than Rocky Creek Sporting Clays in Richburg and Hermitage Farm Shooting Sports in Camden! Both of these beautiful facilities are fan favorites!

There’s a plethora of good fishing areas around the OED! From rivers to lakes and ponds, there’s something for all fishing fanatics to try. There’s just too many to name!

Of course most of our SC State Parks have areas to fish

And check out our friend Abide Fishing for some great kayak fishing videos!
