Carlisle (1.4 sq. miles; population: 496).

Carlisle is located in Union County within the boundary of the Enoree Ranger District in Sumter National Forest.  The first name of this community was Fish Dam, but in 1890 the name was changed to honor the Reverend Coleman Carlise, a well-regarded Methodist minister who served the vicinity.
